Carmen & Big Daddy Weave

We've added some new music. An old favorite, Carmen, has been around for decades. In the 90's he published an album of hymns sung with his character gospel crossover style. That album is now part of our collection. We have also added another CD from the slightly more modern group, Big Daddy Weave.

KJFP - 1 Year Anniversary!

posted Jul 24, 2016, 10:01 PM by KJFP Radio

Hot Springs’ KJFP Radio celebrated its 1 year anniversary this Sunday, July 24th, one year to the day of the first transmissions from our local Christian radio station.  To celebrate the occasion radio listeners and sponsors were invited to Centennial Park where an ice cream social was held.  The Beaver Creek Band and friends provided wonderful bluegrass music through the evening.  KJFP would like to thank all those who have supported us over the last year.

KJFP will have a new program added to our list of ministry broadcasts this week: Grace To You.  Grace To You is a ministry of John MacArthur who has been a pastor-teacher of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California since 1969.  Grace To You will air on this station at 12:30pm each weekday. We hope you enjoy this addition to our ministry broadcasts.

New Music

In the last few weeks we have loaded several new albums and artists into our playlists.  Of course, when we say "new" we mean new to our station as many of these are a couple decades old. However, we have been told many times by different individuals how much they like listening to the 'oldies'.

In the Southern quartet/gospel style we have added Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver and the Goodman Revival.   From the decade of the 90's we have Dawn Smith Jordan, Jars of Clay, and Steven Curtis Chapman.  In our more modern section we have added David Crowder.  And for the country music fans we have added more Tommy Brandt.  We have also added some additional choral pieces from The Christ Church Choir.

If you have suggestion for groups or songs you would like to hear on the radio please send us a message to or message us on facebook.

Local Programming

After a three month break we are returning with our local programs: Community Spotlight and Featured Artist.  We want to thank those who kept our church in their prayers during the last few months as we dealt with medical issues.  Everyone is doing well with their new knees and heart valves; their care-takers are also recovering.

We will be starting back on Community Spotlight with the 'Save the VA' Committee this week followed by the Sandstone Singers next week.  If you have a community group you would like to see featured please send us a message on facebook or to

Faith at Work

posted Sep 21, 2015, 11:41 PM by KJFP Radio

This week was our first segment of 'Faith at Work' where we highlight a local ministry.  Our goal is to have a ministry highlighted every week (or nearly every week).  Both to inform the people of Hot Springs where they can get involved but also to inform those in need what programs are available to them.  Even to those unable to get involved we hope these segments serve as encouragement as they can see the faithful service of those around this town.

Local Programming

We are slowly getting our local programming added to the station. Up so far are the Events Calendar and Community Spotlight.  We have also added a new segment this week call the 'Featured Artist' where we introduce one of the musicians we play on this station.  Since so much of the music we play is not considered mainstream we wanted to give the community a chance to get to know these singer/songwriters.

Another project we have been working on is the Ministry Spotlight. Much like the Community Spotlight we are hoping to interview a local ministry each week to introduce them to the community. We are hoping to have our first Ministry Spotlight in the next week or so.
