This week Phylis Boernke from Chautauqua Craftsman & Artisans of the Black Hills met with us along with Franz Brown who will the the featured artist for the Artisan Center's Grand opening.  The new Artisans Center and Marketplace will have their grand opening this week on Thursday, with a Chamber Mixer at 5pm.  CCABH is a non-profit organization that grew out of an artist co-op.  They are opening their new Artisan Center across from the depot in Hot Springs.  The new Center contains a marketplace, classrooms, and a gallery for featured monthly artists.  Classes are offered to the public for various crafts and art forms, current offering can be viewed on their website: www.chautauquacraftsmen.org/   The new marketplace features the work of 15 artists with more to come.

Artists or volunteers who are interested in being a part of CCABH can stop into the center to talk to current members.  The Center is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10am - 5pm.
